1 Appellant, Marvin E. Coots, hereinafter referred to as defendant, was charged with the offense of Obtaining Merchandise by Means and Use of a False and Bogus Check, After Former Conviction of a Felony, in violation of 21 O.S. 1971 § 1541.2 [21-1541.2], and was tried and convicted in the District Court, Oklahoma County, Case No. CRF-75-2831. Pursuant to the jurys verdict, the defendant was sentenced to serve a term of ten (10) years in the custody of the State Department of Corrections. From said judgment and sentence, the defendant brings this appeal.
